I cycle round Ashton Keynes most weekends and was through there yesterday, what a complete prick

I dont get it, help the police? What for? They can clearly see the plate number, can't they look the plate up in the database and go round for a word? The video is surely enough evidence to at least get their attention.

^^ asking for more people to come forward ( seems loads have been a target ) i don't get it either really. I bet if i walked into a supermarket and lashed out at some people with a blade i'd expect a police visit rather quick.

Car might be registered to incorrect address or issues track driver, also driver might have done it to other road users

Police investigate, present file to CPS, prosecution goes ahead, slippery lawyer, argues 'one off', never happened before or since, normally an all round good egg, etc. Character witnesses swear he's a nice chap. Grows roses, raises money for charity, loves kittens, etc. Possibly even claims DWDCAA "oops. no intent, officer. I wuz distracted". Result? Fine at best, maybe a few points, free to go back out and do it again.

Video AND corroborating statements from independent witnesses covering multiple incidents?

Much thicker case file, conclusive evidence of intent, far more likely to get to a court, and to be taken seriously when it gets there. Repeat offences show clear intent to harass/harm. Calling of character witnesses becomes futile, as he is hoist by his own petard. Bench/Judge will be reaching for the sentencing guidelines, to see just how hard they can 'throw the book' at him (hopefully). All round better result for everyone else who is forced to share the roads with this worthless Oxygen Thief.

Single carriageway road; cyclist pedalling along minding his own business. Oncoming car swerves across centre line at about 50mph and does an in-your-face version of a punishment pass.
