I wAs thinking of replacing these whilst I had the car on ramps and access to the underside. Is it a difficult job? Is it also worth increasing the gauge of the live feed to the fuel pump?

Most of the fuel line is copper , i only replaced the rubber bits from tank to pump, filter etc which were showings signs of age

Can't see it being easy without raising the body. The below is the routing of my tank to engine pipe. Getting that past the outriggers as its pulled out would have been hard enough. Not sure I'd want to even think about the reinstallation. The return pipe, on my car at least, is even worse. It runs along the top chassis tubes (on the offside).

Trying to get either of these out, never mind getting new ones back in, with the body on would have been a real pain I reckon.

Just because they go that way doesn't mean that you have to run new pipes that way or even remove the old ones wink

Anyway, I can tell you that just the flexi hose bit around the filter is annoying and fiddly enough to make me think I would hate doing the job.

Yep, I'll second that.

Thanks everyone. I'll leave it for now then as I 'intend' to do a body off over the winter. Just though it may have been a straight forward 'as I'm in there' type jobs. As for the fuel pump, is changing it difficult? I'm looking at fitting a MS and wondered what BHP the TVR one is raised at?

It`s an easy job ,changed mine from the tank to the swan neck ,to the fuel pump then the fuel filter and the to the copper pipe .

What i would do is remove the tank and get a ribbed nipple welded to the tank . The connection on the tank is abysmal .
