This is my first PH post so bear with me.
After two of driving my Citroen C1 after passing my test, I have bought my first proper PH car, a 2006 MX-5. The cars in fantastic condition after having only one owner that only did 38000 miles in 8 years! The garage I bought it from put anything that was wrong with right so it looks great and drives like new. I've already done over 500 miles in it as I cant find a good enough excuse not to drive it! Once I transfer my plate from the C1 to the MX-5 you won't even be able to tell its age.
I'm looking into the idea of taking it to a skip pan, being my first rear wheel drive car I don't really want to end up in a ditch. Also I might look into taking it to a track day as Brands is only just down the road. Would love to know your thoughts or recommendations on these.

Lovely car! My wife had a silver one for a while, same model as yours. Sold it last year, we still miss it.
Skid pan - more training is never a bad thing but tbh you'd have to be really trying hard to put one of these in a ditch; the stability/traction control works really well in these, we only really found it try to get out of shape if it was properly wet or frosty. Winter tyres for the cold months will help though.
