Should I SORN the car for 1 month?
Discussion
My girlfiends KA ran out of TAX end of April, and due to limited funds she will not be able to tax the car until the end of May.
The car is off-road and wont be used during that time. Do I need to advise the DVLA to SORN it just for this month?
Or should I just leave it and tax at the end of the month as normal?

Chances are they won't catch up within a month so you may be ok, I've got away with it a couple of times by accident and been caught once after about six months when I forgot to renew Sorn on a bike which had been off road for a couple of years . However, when you go to tax it at the end of May, if it hasn't been sorned, you'll be expected to backdate the tax till the last one ran out so you pay for May's tax without getting the use of it so you'll actually lose out financially. If you Sorn it now, you don't pay for the new tax till you need it.

Nah I wouldn't worry I actually forgot once... And bought the tax exactly a month later. No harm done.
