I've often been concerned that my avocado cubes were unequal.


The amount of time spent hulling strawberries untidily... not any more!

Something that will never make it to that list, and easily the most used kitchen gadget I own:

They have two tools to slice a banana. Because well slicing bananas is really tough, so tough that you need a special tool.

I have bad skin on my hands, so I use my lemon squeezer all the time. Lemon juice and bad skin is not a good mix.

The only other 'gadget' I use is a mini whisk I got from Ikea. It's brilliant for bringing dressings and sauces together.

Got one of them curved bladed herb chopper thingys. Back of the drawer.

Bought a mandolin, works a treat, it has a doohicky to keep your fingers safe. But it is such a fafff setting up it never gets used.

Best used, apart from knives, is the vegetable pealer.

I bought an apple corer & segmenter, just because it was cheap. It worked perfectly.

You can guess the rest.

Mrs Puggit sells kitchenware. You cannot believe the amount of kitchen tools and gadgets we have!! I won't touch many of them, but agree that a 'mexican elbow' is indispensable - especially if you drinks as many cocktails as we do

Yes. He is DIW.

Trust me, I've been through it all. I started off with one of these:



then got fed up so used to do this, but with my big global knife - it's a great way to cut yourself:



So then I was given one of these to save my hands and wrists:



Before finally, we got the trio of Eddingtons lime, lemon and orange squeezers, and discovered they are the most efficient way of extracting the maximum amount of juice out of any citrus fruits.

As I'm sure you'll know, the trick to getting maximum juice out - not to mention making the squeezing easier - is to roll the fruit around to squish the inside a bit first.

One of the greatest inventions ever. (we have an over-enthusiastic apple tree).

Best things I saw for strawberries looked like tweezers with really fat ends, they just nipped the greenery out.
