R129- MOT passed, summer here we come.

Took my SL500 for it's first MOT in my tenure, passed without advisories. The sun duly came out and the trip from Morden to North of the river was duly completed sans roof. These cars are great for smoking round town, not flash but still with some presence. End of the week looks promising weather wise, shall be using it for commuting Weds onwards I reckon.

Lol, no not quite. The hard top came off over Easter and it's been converted a few times. Just feels good when the MOT is done and the whole summer is ahead.

Splendid. Ive never owned a car capable of so much motoring pleasure at such sensible speed.

One of my highlights was driving roof down on a balmy summers night watching dawn break across the North Yorkshire Moors . Anyway, enough about dawn.

Still extraordinary value too, a victim of its own longevity.
