Hi,

More insurance st from me... I need some advice please!

Got 2 cars with a 3rd on the way in my name (4th insured under the GF with me as a named driver)

I've got a "separate" 10 years no claims on each of my two cars now... but none to use on the new one... quotes are coming out ridiculously expensive with no NCB.

Admiral is out because they've chucked all their prices sky high...

Any suggestions for companies that may "do something" to help out?

I've had a "car collector" policy suggested, are they any good?

Who's your current insurer on the two cars in your name? Have you asked them whether they'll mirror the bonus for you?

Currently with Admiral, they do something along these lines however the renewals for the existing cars have gone stratospheric this year so I'm not renewing with them.

I just put a third car on my esure policy and they mirrored my ncb in my wife's name. It's transferable too if she moves after a year and she currently has no ncb as she's on a trade shared policy

Thanks, I'll give them a try!

If you've just relied on their renewal notice prices then do the following.

Go onto Admiral.com.

Put all your details/vehicles in as a new customer which will generate a quote and a quote ref number different to your existing policy number.

Phone up renewals, explain what you've done, longstanding customer etc etc give the new quote reference and they'll price match it.

Do this every year - difference is surprising.

Aviva offered to mirror my NCB on my second vehicle when I spoke to them last week (although they're a little sneaky in that I need to be with them for 2 years before they will make it a proper transferable NCB).

Pretty competitive quote though - I was quite surprised.

Also worth running the quoted through elephant, they're the same company so will match the price.

Same here they just mirrored my full NCB onto my 2nd car. I now have a multi car policy with them for 3 cars all covered by full NCB.
