Hi, my Tamora has just developed a couple of weird faults - at the same time the boot lid, door releases and windows stopped working but the fuses are ok. The drivers window now goes down but not up..? Can anyone recommend a good auto electrician, ideally with TVR knowledge, in Hampshire? Thanks.

The door & boot lid issue sounds like the external override button might be sticking/stuck in (do the doors open OK from the inside?) it's the little button on the bank of switches where the controls are for the window/door release are. This also goes some way to explaining why the windows would play up too. Before you spend your hard earned, I would have a quick look yourself, try releasing the radio from the dash, if that does not work, pop the radio out and have a fiddle with the button clusters that can be accessed with the radio removed. You should be able to 'feel' the button actuating when you push it.

I had this ages ago and it was after I had had the radio out. Basically when I put it back in due to the tight fit behind the radio with all the wires, it had distorted the cage the radio sat in that put extra pressure on the door override button causing it to stick thus the doors & boot would not open from the outside other than after locking/unlocking the car.

Thanks, after a bumpy drive the driver's door now opens and the window works too. Must be a loose connection somewhere. The passenger door and window don't work at all though...

It may be sticky buttons. The internal buttons sometimes stick on causing some strange things to happen. A squirt of WD40 and spinning them often loosens them up.

Well, that's worth a try! Thanks
