Rev 5 turbos usually fetch strong money, I'm not actually THAT surprised at the asking price.

However, for that money, you could get a minty fresh example from someone like Newera, with a warranty of some description - which is what I'd be doing if I was in the market for a Rev 5 turbo.

probably worth 4/5k - well kept example but they're not THAT rare yet.
A list of HKS parts does not make a well maintained motor. The bits you have to watch for aren't usually related to the engine....

With an advert of that quality, I think he's going to be getting offers closer to £900 than £9000. He hasn't even posted a picture of the front!

Why is there writing on the window that makes me think this is a turnaround from an auction?

Also hwy can you not see a front bumper in the picture when using the zoom? I would expect to see some front end in front of the wheel?

There's a date (seemingly) of 03/06/13 and there is definitely no front bumper on the car in the picture.

I think that's an odd effect of the slightly fish-eyed lens used to take the photo.

a 1/4 of the way down the o/s/f tyre, the bodywork seems to stop, the front bumper would continue along this line imo.

I had a look on the back of this thread, and there's actually a couple of nice looking turbos in the classifieds at the moment.

I don't recall seeing that colour before and I know that any Revision 5 cars are fairly rare especially the turbo version.
Would have thought that a Rev 5 'BEAMS' powered car would be rarer still.
