Good Afternoon. I'm sure once again that these questions have been asked a thousand times, but...
I am going to attempt to get a fabricator friend of mine to price up to make some for me & it should be a damn site cheaper than what they are online.

Does anyone have any dimensions of the cats on a mk1 Tuscan? As much detail as possible including the flange/lip (there's definitely a joke in there somewhere!) on the manifold end?

Which are better, the normal cat shaped ones or the conical ones (there's only one way to find out...!)?

A friend of mine wants some as well for his T350, are they the same? Are all speed 6 cats similar?

Finally, cost permitting, would anyone else be interested in buying some? The more I get made the cheaper they become...

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Ryan

Can't help with dimensions, but I would be interested to get a set.

I think one thing to look out for is between the diameter of the 'S' and non 'S' exhaust system. I'm a non 'S' like yourself, so we'd need the same.

Cheers

I have a set of ACT de-cat pipes (cone type) sitting in my workshop that are surplus to my needs. Were on my standard 3.6 Tamora but were too noisy for me.

I've got some empty TVR cats off the car currently in Leeds if you need to borrow for sizing.

They should be cone shape and there's no doubt an optimum angle to give you an additional 0.6 bhp, but only on certain dynos. smile

Cheers mate, no rush.

Be good to know whether the shape of the pipes makes a big difference to the noise.

Just buy some. By the time you've arsed about measuring, had mating flanges machined up, had cones rolled, got a decent TIG welder to weld them up you'd be saving bugger all.......
