123d service / oil change schedule
Discussion
New car bought from a bmw main dealer.
2010 123d on 43k
Serviced at 18k, oil & filter changes included
23k engine coolant
Now on 43k and service done in Feb by dealer in I bought off which was just a break fluid change.
So 43k and one oil change?!
Bmw main dealer lets a car go out like this?!

Yes makes it look cheap to run for fleet and lease buyers and 2010 123d on 43k

It wears out quicker so a win win for everyone but the guy who buys it at a 100k and has egr valve and turbo trouble and a clogged dpf... If your going to keep it long term best bet is buy an oil sucker and some of the correct oil from euro car parts and do a quick oil change say every 10k..

I'd certainly be requesting that the dealer complete the second oil change as part of the purchase agreement. Whilst it's not fantastic having the same oil in the car for 25k, it's not the end of the world and is unlikely to cause any long-term damage as long as the service schedule is kept to moving forward.

It was mot'd today, saw the certificate. Didn't look at what had been done at each service. Collected it at 5 tonight, just looking through the stuff now, I'll give them a call tomorrow.
Seems wrong I take it?!
It would worry my mecanical mind Seems wrong I take it?!
I would say 18 k is about the very outside
10 k is when I do my Toyota I'm sure the mpg
Goes down as the oil gets dirty so an not sure
If its saving the owner much by having long service intervals!!

OBC says 11,000 until next oil change. That can't be right, 34k in total?
Unless it's recently been done and not recorded in service book.
I'll call them tomorrow.
Sounds like it's been done previously and they've forgotten to tick the box.Unless it's recently been done and not recorded in service book.
I'll call them tomorrow.
My previous car (BMW E92) didn't even have a service book with all information being stored on the key - meaning you have to place a large amount of trust in the service schedule being maintained with little material proof to prove otherwise.
