Morning all,

A good friend at work is leaving next week and I'd like to get them one of these as a leaving present (might sound odd but they've dropped enough hints smile )

I have zero knowledge of these so what should I get?

Thanks for the help smile

Dan

Do you know what he might need it for - which sports he does?

Polar are probably the most popular brand, and have monitors relating to specific sports, so worth looking on their web site - it also depends on the budget obviously.

I have a Polar F11, which works well for me.

My 'go-to' website for stuff like this : www.dcrainmaker.com/product-reviews

If he has another recording device that he already uses like iphone/garmin 800 or watch with ANT+ or bluetooth then I would go with a Mio Link ANT+/Bluetooth Smart optical heart rate wrist band.
