i've been offered a c32 amg 160k full MBSH big wad of paperwork
had a drive in it and was surprised 354hp goes like sh** off a stick! i'm tempted is it a money pit or a go?

1: Do you like it?

2: Have any of the bills caused you to poo your pants?

If the answer to 1 is yes, and te answer to 2 is no, then get it done.

It's a big big smile right up until the moment it becomes a money pit!

Superfast when they're running well, but watch for rust, electrical faults, supercharger issues and a bit more rust.

the wheel arches have been done so no rust, intercooler has been changed there don't seem to have been any massive bills just the A B services that merc do. 160k puts me off a bit but mercs seem to take the high miles?
amg engines are hand built and the guy reckons the engine are gear box are bomb proof on the c32

A knew a neighbour who had one and we used to have the odd driveway chat.
I can't remember specifics, but he would say he loved / hated the car in equal measure due to the money it cost him to keep it up to scratch. He said there was always a list and parts were costing more / getting harder to find.

Mind you, when visiting that area over Christmas I noticed he now has a tidy E55 so he obviously moved onwards and upwards / got shot of the C32.

Is it the silver saloon with black wheels? If so it's been for sale for a long time. I'd spend 1k more and get an example with less miles personally.

Quite!

OP, Google 'C32 gearbox'. They aren't bomb proof.
