Window Rubber needed - Advice please :)
Discussion
Hi The drivers window decided under heavy braking to jump off its rail !!!
Had the door apart and the rail was removed and de-rusted ( bloody loads of it after 25 years getting wet !! ) however the rubber that may or may not have been bonded to the window glass is rigid and not able to be reused
I have tried a bike inner tube but too think any ideas where to get the right bit of rubber so I can pop it all back together and did you bond it to the glass or the rail ??
Advice please chaps
Thanks

These are the guys who are likely to be able to help; http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/default.aspx . However, you'll need to have a pretty good idea of what it is you're after.
use a tube of tiger seal in the runner it goes of like rubber leave it for 24 hours it will never come of again unless the runner rusts away .you will need two pair of hands get a friend to hold the window up if you have any bits of the rubber seal put it back in the runner then put the tiger seal in the runner (it comes in a mastic tube) then slowly wind the window up until in position and leave for 24 hours sorted

Hi Ty
The correct window channel seal can be obtained from Woolies, part num 317 or 319 depending on the width of your window channel. It will just push into place in the runners and should not require and glue etc. I have just done the window frames on my Blue FHC and they are now like new with the seals etc.
Just can't wait till the car comes back from D&C trim so I can refit the windows back into the re-trimmed car.
