Hi, I'm looking for quote website that won't ask me for email addres etc when I ask for a building insurance quote.

Currently in the process of buying a property and in our currently ramping market it might be a choice between a house or a flat for me.

With a flat the building insurance is via the leaseholder/management company, if I buy a freehold house I have to pay it.

Trying to get a rough idea how much it would cost me for buildings insurance using an online site so could compare what might pay out in monthly charges for a flat compared to the buildings insurance

let me get this correct in my head.

You want to use online quoting system without an online way for them to send you the results?

Might want to try the personal system of picking up the phone instead?

If you don't want to use your own email, I'm assuming to avoid spam, just use a fake one.
As far as I'm aware these web forms just look for a specific email format so something like luke.skywalker@jedi.co.uk, or spongebob@underthesea.org etc should allow you to get the quotes with out the follow ups.

Guy,

I bought a domain name for a couple of quid that I use for logging on to websites. You can get one like @guysspam.co.uk for next to nothing and set up an e-mail address. For enhanced satisfaction and getting one back, use noreply@guysspam.co.uk. I only check it via webmail when I am expecting something like a quote.

Use mailinator. Give them anythingyoulike@mailinator.com. eg. 1234abc@mailinator.com it's automatically a valid email address that you can pick up mail from (if necessary) at mailinator.com

No registration/login required.

As above, put in anything you want. The same for the phone numbers they ask for.

Its only so they can spam you with emails and call after the quotes have been generated.

My advice would be to find a local broker in the area you are looking to buy and give them a call. If they are on the ball they will have good rates for the area and will also provide help and advice. Many people seem to think that brokers are there for the complicated stuff that doesn't fit online but this is not the case.
