After browsing the forums for some time from deep in the bushes, I finally decided to create an account and since I now have a car I feel worthy of showing off, I thought I'd even start a topic. So my car history is pretty average going from Punto's to Megane's and back to Punto's, I recently graduated from Uni however which has allowed me to splash out since landing a killer job. I've always had a huge soft spot for RenaultSports, they really know what they're doing when it comes to a chassis.

So just before Christmas I started a hunt, looking for maximum power at a decent insurance premium. Initially I thought Clio and one popped up fairly close. After a quick test drive I decided against it, it just didn't feel like it had enough brute force under acceleration for me. Living in Aberdeen leaves me with little choice on the used car market, unless I'm willing to drive hundreds of miles south.

After admiring the RenaultSport Megane (it was the wallpaper on my laptop) for some time I had a sneaky squint on the old Autotrader and boom there was one, reasonably priced, just 80 miles West with 38k miles on the clock and one previous lady owner. Immediately I called the garage and slapped a deposit on without even seeing the thing. Luckily the insurance isn't too bad either.

After 4 sleepless nights it was time to pick her up and my she was beautiful, here she is the day I got her home

The Acceleration is smooth, the car just pulls and pulls no matter where you are in the rev range. The chassis is extremely stiff but that's all part of the fun, it corners like nothing I've ever driven, the LSD creates a great turning sensation which I'm still getting used to. It has the Recaros which are surprisingly comfortable and the RS Monitor which I think is designed purely to kill you, always trying to get the extra G's in the corners.

Lovely cars these. I know beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder but 'beautiful' is a word I struggle to associate with this car, especially in Ford Transit official colours. It looks purposful, but not pretty by any stretch!

A lot of hate on the sticker! It's in memory of a very good friend who passed away a couple of years ago so it's here to stay.

+1 , also the sticker seems to be giving the finger to the passenger of your own car.

Still, its your car. Enjoy!

Lovely car…..renaultsport are one of the few who know how to make a proper drivers car. I have to say if I saw the sticker in traffic I'd probably smile.

i like the sticker, people take themselves too seriously, the car screams bruiser with attitude so it just adds to that. Nice to see a car other than a new bmw, the french still make some good hot hatches.
