Replica alloy wheels
Discussion
There send to be a lot of replica alloy wheels available, and from what I've seen they seem to be to a very good standard.
Just wondering what people's thoughts or experiences are with them
I have thought about getting my standard mv4 alloys refurbish into ferice grey and was just wondering what people thought of benefits or disadvantage if doing either
Thanks

Hmm, depends really.
There was a load of cheap rubbish flying about a few years back, wheels that were really heavy and some poorly finished. Usually chinese manufactured and very variable in quality. Some odd fitments too, very hard to get staggered widths etc for BMW. I believe at one point BMW and Mercedes were actively prosecuting importers on copyright grounds and so on. Some of the Alfa replica wheels I saw a while back were actually cock on though.
From what I've seen the latest trend seems to be replicas of more expensive aftermarket wheel designs; BBS, Ac schnitzer and the like.
I'd try and get a good 2nd hand set of genuine wheels and have them refurbed if necessary or look at good quality light weight stuff like some of the OZ or Team dynamics range.
All IMHO of course.

I would rather do this. They should be a better quality than some of the doggy copies out there. Also, with copies, there may be some minor differences to get around copyright (I would assume).Obviously would need to be careful when buying used wheels that they arnt cracked etc....
