Hi All

I'm using my Chim as my daily driver now as I've handed back my company wheels ,320d, and await a personal Golf GTD. The problem I have is that it's costing me a fortune to commute smile I just find it really difficult to just cruise and end up flooring it in 2nd/3rd and letting the pops and crackles explode on the overrun, I repeat this for most of my 20 mile commute. Does anyone else suffer from this affliction? I think I need therapy biggrin

James.

I don't have a TVR any more but have the same problem in my Lotus. Oddly I didnt have the problem with the Tuscan. I think its easier to go fast a lot of the time in some cars than others

Do you suffer from this too?

You have a 6 mile trip to do that takes circa 10 minutes. Because you are in the Chim, the trip is a minimum of 20 miles?

And enjoying the overtakes.

This morning a 911 Carrera S4 doing 45 in a 50 yikes

When I say a 50 its one of thsoe lvely flowing B roads that used to be NSL but for some unknown reason 7 miles of it became 50MPH about 2 years ago.

It makes you wonder what the world has come to when you see that kind of thing doesn't it?

Considering he was holding up a train of about 7 or 8 cars, yes. Nice sunny morning, lovely B road with good visibility and a nice car. I know, I'll tootle along and hold up the commuters.

His choice, and at least he (I assume it was a he as I didn't see who was driving) didn't boot it when I pulled out to overtake, having worked my way down the train of cars.

sadly so many not willing/unaware of how to allow everyone to make progress these days. Still, makes for more interesting journeys! Totally normal.
