Hi All!

Just bought a 2010 4.7 Vantage the other day!

Trying without success to get a number of existing usb devices to work with the car... both a key and ssd have failed with "unreadable"... both are FAT32 formatted... the key seemed to work the first time, but hasn't since.

I've seen an older thread discussing some smaller usb 2 devices that apparently work, but can anybody recommend a 64gb or above usb 3 / fast key or ssd please? I don't want to wait a week for all my music to upload to the device, so want something speedy! Was thinking of this one:

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Hi,
First thng is you'll be asked for some pics of your car by some of the forum soon, so have some ready! smile

I can't answer your specific about larger capacity sticks but from my experience the Aston media is as little sensitive to the stick you use.

I ended up using the razor stick on mine after 2 or 3 false starts with other makes .

Can't you try it then send it back under the distant selling regs if not good? whistle

I used this Kingston w/o problems (except it being easy to lose!)

And this PNY (also really small):

Just buy a secondhand iPod from eBay to leave in the car, that's what I did.

Thanks.... might give the Kingston I found a go then if you've had a good experience with another Kingston stick.

Re Ipod... the old ones are quite sensitive I find... previously used one in the car, but it kept crashing so I moved on to ssd instead.

PIcs are a good idea, will get the camera out!

I've never managed to get either of my Astons to read any 64GB stick, haven't tried 32GB but I know 16GB is fine.

Ah, size does matter!

Anyone had experience of a 64gb usb stick working correctly?

Perhaps an old ipod is the way to go... or maybe a 64gb iphone 5, but their pricing seems excessive....

Yes, as I posted above. Both 64 and 32 work fine.

Thanks... was after a USB 3 drive, but if I can't find one I guess USB 2 will do, and I'll just have to wait 3 days for the music to transfer over!
