Morning all,

I was wondering what brushless motor, prop and ESC combination you would recommend for a Dumas Pilatus Porter kit (1806). It's a very lightweight, traditional build balsa kit and in the instructions they suggest I would need the following but I can't seem to find the equivilant brushless motor:

GWS 4:1 Drive (IPS-DX2BB-1XCS)
8x6 GWS Propeller
5 AMP Elec. Speed Control with BEC
7.4 Volt 700mAh Lithium Polymer Battery

Ideally I'd like a three or four bladed prop for atheistic reasons but appreciate this isn't always possible. I've not got my head around this whole brushless movement yet, so it's a bit of a minefield out there with a crazy amount of choice!

Any help of what I should be buying would be much appreciated.

Cheers smile

Matt

The IPS is only going to give around 35-40 watts max, so a micro size brushless will be enough.
Problem is to find one with a low kv for a 8 inch prop.
Possibly something like this:

On a 2S LiPo pack with a 3 blade 8x6 prop should do the job?
