Carrying camera equip in back pack

I've got a backpack designed to carry camera equipment. It had little bits you could push around inside to make areas the specific size for the cameras and accessories. During the move, these were lost - don't know how. I can't find them anywhere.

Has anyone any ideas of what I can use to make a bespoke interior that doesn't fall out when the thing is standing upright?

I've got cardboard boxes at the moment.

I've got cardboard boxes at the moment.

If they don't turn up I would contact the manufacturer or a retailer and try to order some new inserts.

Can you remember why they were taken out in the first place? Might help to identify places to look.

I would have thought cardboard will create more dust than would be desirable.

PLan B would be to buy another cheap on eBay and re-deploy its innards. Or just use the 'new' one as is if condition is OK.

What brand of back pack is it?

I use lowepro back packs and they do sell extra dividers as a separate part

It's a Town and Country, via Jessops. I went into a fairly local one and when I asked for extras I got a shake of the head.

Thanks for the point about dust. It never occurred to me.

I've had the thing for years and it has lasted well. I've photographed it a lot in that time so must like it.
