Direct auto dealer

Guys I am a newbie to this forum and am looking for some advice. I recently placed an advert on auto trader selling my vehicle for a certain price, I received a text today from a company called DirectAutoDealer offering me near enough asking price, only catch is I have to pay £75 for them to turn up, pick the car up and give me the cash plus £75 back the next day. I have tried to research them online but cannot find anything on them.
Has anyone heard or had dealings with them?

Cleared funds before collection or walk away. They will have £75 and your car plus the paperwork if you do as they ask complete and utter scam.

DirectAutoDealer.com ?

Site registered on 16th May 2014 for the first time. Registered through an anonymising proxy agent in Arizona. Why is the site copyright 2012 if they've been trading for less than 24 hours ?

In Terms and Conditions, the fees appear in clause 9a - the only subclause in the whole thing - making it look like they've been added to a copied set of T&Cs from another site.

The "postal address" is a PO Box at the Royal Mail delivery office in Kingston upon Thames. There's no real address.

It mentions "The Car Buyers Group" - a well known bunch on PH : http://www.pistonheads.com/Gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The phone number and address match another scammy site - v5-autotrader.com, which has been taken down.

If they're real and profitable, why do they charge a fee when they say they don't ?

and finally - if you have to ask, you already know the answer.

I think it's a scam too, but wanted to research before doing anything. You have to pay the money through a paypoint, they say the fee is to make sure you are there when they turn up, their website looks legit.

I may have listed at least 6 reasons why it isn't - but then, I only make my living from dealing with the mess these scammers create, so you go right ahead.

This is the remains of the previous web site they used. (V5 Autotrader.com). I wonder why they need to keep changing their trading name and web pages?
