A pump and a few hoses.. I retrofitted a power steering system to a Fiat 131 a few years back as I'd fitted 8" wide front wheels and it had become very heavy on steering. The power steering made a hell of a difference but iIhad to modify the track rods and mount up the pump on a bracket, etc..

I believe one of the subaru racks is a fairly easy swap on chins and griffs perhaps this would also fit our cars with suitable pump etc..

A modified electric system - the Corsa one I think is a popular one - might fit in the dash area. Engineer1949 has fitted such a system to Chims and Wedges.

Barkychoc (Chris) fitted one to his V8S - I believe there's a thread on it somewhere.

I fitted a standard Chim power steering rack with an electric hydraulic pump.

The details are in my rebuild thread somewhere on useful links in the rebuild part. You have to grind a bit of the existing mount away but it has no bearing if you want to go back to manual steering.
