Megasquirt Cold Start Settings
Discussion
Evening chaps
Would any of you running MS ECU's mind posting your cold start enrichment settings?
Mine is very reluctant to idle when cold but runs rather nicely when hot - leading me to think I have some incorrect values for cold start.
Engine is a 4.6 stage 3 with Crower 50234 cam - details below
INT/EXH - Dur @ .050” Lift: 228°/234° RR: 1.6/1.6 Gross Lift: .512”/.526” LSA: 112°
Cheers!

It`s a black art ! most difficult thing to do .I have the ultimate cold start ,I turn the key, the priming time is longer than normal then it starts ,revs up and then sits at idle in a few seconds .. Job done .Would any of you running MS ECU's mind posting your cold start enrichment settings?

I'm running the crower 50233 in a 3.9ltr with 10:1 CR
It does need rich idle mixtures ~13.7 and 14 degrees timing for a reasonable idle.
I plumbed in a volvo PWM idle air valve which greatly helps with the cold starts. It's set to rev up to 1500 rpm on the turn of the key to get the oil pressure up quickly, then settles to 1200 rpm gradually falling to 950 rpm as the coolant comes up to temp.
How is the 50234 on the road? The 50233 is brilliant with a nice wide power band, on cam from 3250, peaks at 6K and redline at 6600rpm. It's a hell of a lot better than the stock kent H214, which has 12-20ft/lbs less almost everywhere. I'm pretty much at the limit of the stock rover 40mm inlet valves at 254bhp and ~270lb/ft, so big valves will hopefully be going in this winter.
!I turn the key it starts with a quick rev then sits at idle speed straight away . ,Its starts about 12.5afr (sometimes leaner if the air temp is warmer) then over a few minutes it at 14.5 ish on idle . It does need rich idle mixtures ~13.7 and 14 degrees timing for a reasonable idle.
