I'd go for a GPS based unit - Road Angel are great and I have one that I switch between my van & the Monaro.

The LRC100 laser jammer is also a brilliant bit of kit but "slightly illegal" if you don't have an electronic garage door (this is because they are marketed as electronic door openers). Anyway this broadcasts laser if it picks up a camera van or speed cop and it stops them locking onto you for a few seconds while you jab the brakes, they are best mounted under the no plate or in the grill.

So with these two bits of kit you have prior knowledge of any fixed camera sites (Gatso/Truvelo etc and blackspots) and the ability to be invisible to forward facing laser guns (and rear ones if you fit two LRC100's)

Personally like everyone else on this forum I adhere to the speed limits 100% of the time and save my high speed antics for the track however with the governments policy to reduce speed limits to ridiculous levels and to hide scamera vans in the bushes behind the banner of "road safety" - read REVENUE GENERATION I'd suggest any form of licence protector !

Personally i prefer the Origin B2 unit. Does much the same as the road angel though.

Forced myself to buy it despite the cost, partly cos i have just done the Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run, a 48 hour drive from London to John O Groats to Lands End and back to London again with 70 other nutters!

Lots of driving (2000 miles) on unfamiliar roads.Without it I would doubtless have collected a few points!

Its expensive, til you get done, then it will seem like a bargain. I work on the basis cameras points can be avoided with a "device", leaving your licence clear for the much lower risk of being caught by a real live copper who might even use his judgement!!
