I'm not talking here about somthing that lives in a garage all winter and which just comes out in the sun.....

I wonder what and how old the oldest car owned by a PHer is.

My MGF at 13 years I am sure is a baby compared to some.

So, it's old and it is either a daily or at least regularly used car. Not SORN, it has to have tax and MOT or if outside the UK, road legal.

Im in no doubt that other PHers run much much older cars daily, but as i can beat you, i will post.

I run a '97 MR2 daily. It runs sweetly. And the interior looks like its factory fresh!

1990 Lotus Excel is my "daily" driver. I know of an older one that's in regular use all the year round.

Up until last summer, my 1982 Land Rover (essentially a 1956 design, though) was my daily drive.

My current DD is a 1992 Mitsubishi van, but only until I get the 1987 MR2 back on the road.
The MR2 has seen daily use for most of the last 5 years.

My '74 MGB was my only car for a while, but that was nearly ten years ago now.

I'd be amazed if there's no-one on here running a 50s car as a daily driver an there might well be something earlier.

91 merc 300e - I do 20k+ per year in it and would never think twice about jumping in and doing 1,000 miles over a long weekend (as I did 2 weeks ago!).

My old man used his '58 Frogeye as a daily until 4 years ago, even in the snow with no heater. My current daily is an '85 Carlton 2.2 estate but it'll be replaced by my '78 Manta fairly soon. There are a few of my customers locally who run 80s cars as dailies and one who runs a Droopsnoot on his 25 mile commute

My 1994 Corrado VR6 is my daily car, despite owning much newer metal...it's just so lovely and characterful to pilot. But, it's only done 58k miles, so a relative youngster. It is brilliantly reliable (touch wood)

My 1981 TR7 got a light rolling restoration, & served as DD for 11 years.

Got an engine rebuild, air conditioning fitted, & a bare metal paint job last year. I now expect it to be my DD for the next 10 years.
