We both quite like to watch TV in bed sometimes. At the moment the set is wall mounted. No problem.
But the house we're planning to move to has full height fitted wardrobes facing the only possible bed position in the master bedroom.

Is it possible to get a TV mount that hangs from the ceiling but folds up out of the way, obviously, when not needed?

That very much depends on the space you have above the bedroom, same manufacturer, different solution.

Or these beasts!

You need deep pockets though!

Space above the ceiling might be a factor so that one seems a possibility. Any idea of the approx. cost?

flat mount the tv to ceiling using a standard mount.

Lay flat in bed looking up at the ceiling.

Why would you want to do it any other way?

I confess I have flat mounted myself, and I find it perfect.

I have a silent pc rigged up to the monitor too, I can read books, watch tv shows, etc.

And hense my deep pockets comment.

Installed a motorised, out and twist arm from them a couple of years ago. Works brilliantly, weighed a tonne and I had to chemical fix thread rod to the outer wall as mounting points as the cabinet maker left his cabinet sort of free standing. No way it would have taken the weight with the tv extended. That was about £5k from memory.

Or could you get one of those TV beds.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6... TV beds where they rise up out of the end.
