Bit of help guys... My clutch pedal is a bit floppy as you press it, before the pressure kicks in?
Lookin at where the rod goes through the bulkhead into the cylinder, I feel maybe there is a worn bush or something?

Mine has an adjuster on it, the pedal that is, is it loose? Threaded rod and a lock nut.

Yeah does have a nut, but can't see how that would draw the pedal further in?

Mine was loose once and felt floppy. Bit of play in the gubbins till the lock nut was all up and tight. It was just a thought. Then there is the linkage to the plunger that goes into the cylinder?

Yeah that looks like where the play is, the linkage into the plunger,
Don't wanna start taking bits off if nothin can be done, if that makes sense?

From memory there is a circlip holding the ball end of the rod in the cylinder, under the rubber. The linkage had a split pin in. But that was a few years ago. Not very mobile at the moment to go check.

That makes sense, it's in for MOT next week, I'll ask him see if it's straight forward.

Thanks for your help mate

I would hope for a second opinion, it was a few years ago I fiddled with it.

You may find that the compression spring in the master cylinder has snapped in half. The tvr cylinder is not standard as it has a larger union than others. A TVR cylinder is about £120. I bought a Wildwood one from Peter Lloyd rallying for £35 and swapped the intrnals.

You can buy an adapter or usually there is enough slack in the pipe you can put another union on - then you can use a standard Landrover one much cheaper.

Anyhow the slack can be taken out by twisting the pushrod if that's all it is.
