Hi guys

Thinking about getting to a e63s has anyone here had any experience with one?
Is it worth the extra ££ compared to a normal e63 2013?

Previously owned a E55 kompressor one of my favourite cars so thinking of going back to E amg.

Thanks

Drove one of the E63S the other day at one of those AMG Drive Days. Awesome bit of kit, so much so that (at least at the time of typing this) my plan is to upgrade to one when the lease on my current C63 expires in a few months. I know this bit of info does little to answer your question per se so I will just stick to generic advice from here: if you have reached the point of weighing up the S over the standard E63 then you should just do it, thereby avoiding any future regrets later on.

That's what I plan to do once the times comes for the C63 to go back to Merc. I really do like the E63S, how does it drive compared to the C63?

E63's generally seem much rarer on the road than C63.

Wouldn't be a WHOLE lot cheaper getting a stock E63 and remapping?

Its just an ECU map and a few minor buts on the S anyway, no?

Driven one. Liked it, as others have said I'm not sure it's worth the difference over the none 'S' model but saying that I bet it'll depreciate a lot because of that.

Preferred it over the RS6 even if a bit slower.

I looked at them back in January but couldn't justify the cost difference from the "standard" E63, which I ended up buying instead.

Had a limited slip diff and a (removable) tuning box fitted and I'm in pretty much the same territory really, just for 10 - 15k less outlay.

Circa 10k more for the power gain can be achieved for much less. This used to be the 'power pack' before but they have changed it to the 'S' to help residuals.

No 4WD for the UK market, can't get it to work with RHD cars.
