Who else is going from here then? I've already spied a few vx220's on the entry list and i know some of you here are regulars down there.

I'll be in a Silver Evo 6 alongside my friend in a red evo 3. First time at the track for both of us.

I will be there in a blue Noble.

Would be an ideal one for my brother to come to as he has an Evo 6 extreme RS450 which aside from being seriously quick is also hugely rare and would be of interest to the Evo owners coming. For some reason he is choosing to go on a hockey tour instead.

Long range forecast is ok. Praying for sun as my car doesn't come out in the rain!!

I'll be there in a blue and white exige. The current BBC forcast is heavy rain most of the day - and I've just put the AO48s on!

I'm on AO48's too, luckily i bought some wet cut slicks a few months back.

I get the feeling we're going to get all 4 seasons in 1 day on Saturday.

Afraid I am out. Family emergency. But Javelin have been very understanding. Excellent organisers.

Was really looking forward to going but looks like I have to pull out.

If anyone knows anyone else that wants to take my place for a much reduced fee, let me know please!

Yeah that guy was pretty damn quick. Yellow Leon was silly fast too, and the little Citroen AX etc :P

Was seriously dodgy in the wet when i had my road tyres on, was like ice skating at times. Much, much better later on with AO48's though.

Not a bad day in the end managing to get a few dry runs in and some that were just damp. I was going home at lunchtime as the car is very much set up for the dry but luckily it started to dry up meaning i could also finish off an old set of track tyres [fronts had no tread by the end!]
Surprised i got a noise board on my last run, never had an issue before.
Anyone definitely know where the meter is including which side of the track its on?

It's was very slippery especially when it stopped raining but track was still wet. I managed to spin on some ice on the bend before the pit lane and ended up in the gravel right infront of the pits, had to be dragged out frown

One of the most fun days I have had for a while. Car was lovely and predictable sliding in the morning and then had a couple of really good runs with my mate in the afternoon as it all dried out, until it all ended prematurely... The lotus traction control system is genius, I even managed to achieve a 'no drifting' board and didn't spin the car once. Was glad I put the r1rs back on the night before though,!

My car has 2 silencers in the downpipe and a bung in the tailpipe. Yet i still got noise boarded 3 times...

That's insane IMO. It was a great day apart from that, but its pretty annoying having to run your car at half boost whilst having to constanly lift off all the time.

I wouldn't mind if it was in a residential area, but it seemed as if the tracks in the middle of nowhere. Also, when my friend was driving my car, i watched from the pits and the car was completely inaudible from the first chicane....That's only about 150 metres away. There's no chance anyone within 500 metres of the track is hearing anything IMO.

I got noise boarded as well - twice at 87.3DB and once at 87.4. Bedford is known for it's tight noise limits as part of the planning consent - so far as I am concerned, I'm happy to be shown the board rather than a black flag. It's helpful to know that you are approaching the limit and short shifting past the noise meter (which in my case is always the one after the pit lane hairpin) generally cures the problem.

God it'd be great if someone sneaked into the track one night and wrapped the noise meters in clingfilm or something. For what its worth i thought the day was run really well by Javelin, and i was appreciative of the noise boards instead of straight black flagging.

I got noise boarded 3 times by the same guy at the turn before the long straight. Which sound meter would i have been setting off in the case then? The one near the first chicane?

Yep. That's also where I got the boards. I've had them on previous track days and been told that the hangars and other buildings behind that corner cause the sound waves to rebound/echo. It's definitely the meter that gets most people.
