In the sprint magazine November 2004,page 44; the second picture on the left:I'm searching for the owner of the light blue S with Cosworth V6 engine;

Can the owner or anybody who knows the guy conact me please?

I'm now finishing my s3c with the same engine and I have some questions for some details.

Pictures are welcome, if possible.

Regards

Hello Mickypee here,

Saw the posting, and yes I am doing the above except mine is a 4.0L V6 rather than a 2.9L.Will look very similar, but should have a lot more torque low down and an extra few pony's.Car is in the workshop now and work will carry on I would imagine till the spring,so its ready for the sun.

Paint work is to be a little different. It will still be BRG, but the lacquer will have whats called "rainbow flake" looks like heroin (costs as much too)and once applied gives a subtle coarse metallic effect in the sunshine.I have had some badges made as well with "Cosworth" in gold and BRG,just for that extra little bit of icing on the cake.

It has become a no expense spared project, but I think it should be worth it.You can see the before on my profile, but the after will be even better.I will post a spec list if you are interested.

Feel free to call/mail me if you want to chat about it.

My list of the S Meet has gbgaffer as a cossie owner,
I had a chat with the owner of that car on the day but had lost the plot with who was who by that time.
Best of luck with your project.

I think GBGaffer has a 24v Cosworth engined S on the Isle of Wight.

Try searching the members directory and dropping him an email - his lack of regular posting was mentioned in a thread a while ago.

I am currently installing a cossie V6 lump into my S1. Boy it needs it.
I went along to the "S" meet at Silverstone, and had a good look around two S`s with Cossie lumps. I was even lucky enough to go for a blast in the light blue S2, and it was certainly very lively.
Like other contributors, I failed to make a note of the guys contact details. I know he is a keen TVR man, because he also owns an earlier Taimar or similar, with a Vauxhall XKE lump in. He is so impressed with the Cosworth unit, that he intended to fit such an engine this winter.
Anyhow, I think I have most problems solved (famous last words), so if I can help, don`t hesitate to ask.

Hi All,

I too am the owner of a S4C(osworth)

Feel free to drop me a line. I occasionally drive over to Holland and Germany, so you could have a look at the car next time I'm passing through.

Cheers

Graham

PS Roland, I was in contact with Paul about engines and ecu's about a year ago.

The PistonHeads name of the guy in question is James S2c. I bought his old Oz 8 spokes alloys off the car, because he upgraded to 5 stud Granada hubs/brakes.
