How I wish I had £30k to hand right now, seems a bargain, be quick before they realise how cheap it is or Malton buy it and smack it up for £48k

You're forgetting the obligatory £10K refresh! smile

Could be a deal for someone if it's as nice as it appears.

I had a gt3 that had one previous owner and it was a shed!
Why would the amount of owners make any difference to a car that PPI's well and has a fully documented history?

It shouldn't. And 5 careful owners are better than one careless one etc. But 5 owners might mean an unresolved underlying issue, or that the car has not had preventative tlc as a long term keeper. It's not a bad thing per se but is a factor to take account of when making an assessment.

Number of owners does not tell you much at all - nada, nothing.
Its all about condition, condition, condition. In which case number of owners is almost irrelevant.
Condition includes the usual visual inspection, a mechanical inspection if possible, looking at the previous paperwork, etc.

With 10 year old cars, you can have a minter with 8 owners, and a dog with 3 (and of course vice versa too). In my experience of circa 10 samples, 1 owner was good probability of good condition, followed by 7+ owners, 3-4 owners less good.

Of course, most people when selling a 1 owner car I might big it up, and if buying an 8 owner car might pretend it was a problem to drive the price lower. In a low supply market it does not matter - if you find a good condition car you buy it as fast as you can!

with mileage that low, price seems far to good to be true, surely it's worth 45k, I know it's not a club sport, but even so....?

Spot on. I was discussing exactly this Saturday with JZM and to them it's all as you say condition.

Car sold looks a good deal

'Condition condition condition'. The problem is that much of a car's condition is unknowable without spending a lot on an inspection, by which time you're slightly committed already.

Prior to spending a thousands squids on an inspection, it helps to have regard to various loose proxies or indicators- mileage is one; condition of paint may be another (as people who care for paint probably care also for the mechanicals; etc. Most of the things people look are just ways of getting a feel for the likely condition without getting the engine scoped, the suspension peaked at, etc

Complete twoddle
Sold my GT3 quite easily to be honest and it had 9 owners.
Condition/History are all that count.

Agreed

GT3s do seem to go through owners but so what - if it's mint it's mint regardless of whether its had one owner of ten

Cheap car! Just up the road from me too.

If the GT3 market wasn't as hard work, I'd buy that for stock. Certainly a good return to be had if the cars okay. Ad could be doing with a bit more info.
