Been out today with the bullet cam on the front end of the RS6.

December is a bit too clever at foxing camcorders (especially with mountain shadows), but although a bit dark in places, I put together a vid - different res links below. (Was also experimenting with speed... the digital variety, not the chemical).

Took this still pic as I left the clean empty air and descended back into the fog.

...and here are links to a 90 sec vid (run at 250% speed):

3.5 mb WMV (320x240) (for modem types)
www.stevecarter.com/WinterBlats.wmv
7.5 mb WMV (640x480) (for those broadbanded)
www.stevecarter.com/WinterBlatsLarge.wmv

Hope they entertain. (Oh and I really ought to thank John P for the guitar solo! )

Steve

Great vid Steve You really should be trying harder though!

All that shot needs is an RS6 cresting that hill with lights ablaze and all 4 wheels off the ground. Since your the talent with the camera, I'll just have to volunteer to do the driving

I can do the long version - just needs you lot to have broadband, and sad enough to spend the time downloading.

That would be awesome. Took me 31seconds to download the larger clip!

Awesome vid mate!

Whats the RS6 like for hooning? I've heard Audis in general don't have much steering feel... whats your view?

Hi Rico

RS6 = Not a hoon machine I'm afraid - way too heavy. On the M'ways and on fast 'A' roads it's a breeze, and my God it sounds great, and OH so comfy - with every creature comfort.

But on a track or on serious twisties the brakes would probably catch fire after too few corners, or proper drivers would take it into the shrubs (expecting it to be a 911)

It's the QE2 of cars. As in, admire the view, feel the power, but don't ask it to stop quickly.

...but I'd just like to point out again, the sound and power delivery is pure Wagner.

I drove those exact same roads not so long ago, if I'm well enough and the weather holds I'm heading back on Saturday as well

Tried the pheasant while we were there, but they were closed for bar-meals
