That was the bereavement sale - I was interested in that car - the side exit exhausts caused some controversy IIRC. Up privately at 6k last September, it went through a dealer @ about 7.5k and is now up at 10k!! Wowcher...

I test drove that two months ago, and very nearly bought it. But I had concerns about how loved it was. There were a few known faults, maybe there were a few more unknown ones....?

They both look like lovely cars and good prices too.

Classic car prices are all going up, doesn't matter what it it, even our beloved wedges (which so many people seem to want to values to stay down) are going up.

Get back in a wedge wyn! Can you have both chim and wedge?

That 400SE is way overpriced IMHO - given the choice between that and the black 450SE that's just sold at £10k I know where my money would be! I'm always on ebay flitting through classic and kit cars and yes, whilst people are definitely asking more for cars they're don't seem to be getting it. The same cars keep coming round time and time again like a merry go round. You see smart people rest them for a month or two and then relaunch their sales campaign but they're still not shifting at inflated prices. Again just from what I can see.

The good ones are snapped up within weeks of them being put up.

The whole "only done 200 miles in the last year!!!" thing puts me off; If the car was really in perfect condition you'd drive the thing!

I looked at a chim that's now been on eBay for 13 months, Rotten chassis and empty coolant. But look! low mileage!! I didn't have the heart to tell the guy it's a basket case frown

Can't have both Matt. The 420 is soooo tempting for me as that engine is a flippin beast. I didn't call it 'The Creature' for nothing. I'd have to sell the Chim first.
