Got myself an MDAIII - Now what???

It looks cool, kinda huge for a phone, but the workshop manual is like a copy of encylopedia britanica. I needed mobile email & mobile Net/WIFI when available.


Trying to get my head round it all as we speak.......

Anyone else got one?

AKA the XDAIIs i believe. Had a quick play with one at some free O2 conference jobby last week and was quite impressed. Blackberry email support coming next jan with the XDAIIi

Cant seem to get my head round the basic stuff, like how to you put it to sleep so when its my pocket all the buttons dont come on etc, got everything else working ok.

scancom on a T-mobile contract with ported number from Orange. T mobile have lots of hotspots & I get coverage at home unlike blinkin orange, so it seemed a good bet. £85 all up cost plus about £30 a month on a 200 tariff with a few extras.

Make sure you get one with the USB cable thingy though!

Technology is great is'nt it?

The Activesync wont work on my Outlook inbox
It freezes every time you run on WIFI
Which then mucks the phone part up too

Oh and no obvious way to import your contacts either (in fact none) so it a week of putting them all in aaaarrrrggghhhhh

I've just finished trial on an XDA2. It syncs Outlook 2000 - it even comes with Outlook 2002.

It syncronised my contacts automatically. Nice unit with a very clear screen.

We're going for the XDA2s with the pull-down keyboard.
