Been lurking away for a while...but after a wash I thought it an idea to post up my current steed.

I know it looks like a pretty normal Astra...but this one has a Corsa Vxr engine under the bonnet...if not a little detuned. It puts out 180bhp which makes it pretty rapid. The downside to this is that the chassis can't quite handle all 180....it's capable enough but the suspension is a little soft.

I'm in the midst of refreshing it with a few touches...which will be posted up in due course 😃

Any thoughts more than welcome smile

1.6 engine pulling 1.6 tons. I imagine it feels fairly quick once moving but that can't be kind to the handling department, hauling all that weight around!

But...at least it's not a bloody diesel!

Only 1.4 tonnes fella. It fairly keeps the speed well...but acceleration is not bad...it will do 60 in just over 8 seconds. The handling is the main downside though.

I had one of these a few weeks ago whilst on holiday in gran canaria (abeit a 1.4T) it was a great laugh, pretty nippy with very little lag from the turbo! It had a decent amount of kit inside too. This looks like it will be fun if it is the same vxr engine!
