Did AM change the conversion since 2011, because it apparently wasn't perfect back then, according to this chap:

"Now, in terms of the manual - again, one of those internet boards and hearsay things. I hear so many people talk about how great the vanquish is with the manual gearbox conversion by Works Service. i've driven one. I can't say it's a great conversion and I still prefer the sequential auto-manual. If you've got your heart set on a "manual vanquish" - I cannot stress that you drive one first before deciding. I think its 'cool' that AML did a conversion, but I think its worse than the original. My issues with it -
-It's too damn close to the center stack, like bang your knuckles close and its positioned a bit 'off'.
-The conversion stick is not actually positioned over the selector plate, so its actually a cable from the stick to the actual shift selector. Theoretically this results in some imperfection but that wasn't my issue with it as I didn't find that too bad. it was that because of the cabl arrangement, the throws were a bit long and is not a short shift. It's like driving an old mercedes diesel stick (ok, not that long a throw, but you get my idea). for a performance car, you don't expect it.
-It doesn't give any greater feeling by having the stick in the vanquish over the F1 - which is why everyone these days buys the seq-shifter."
