help me decide which ctireon xsara picaso to get

currently looking at these 3 only, due to budget constraint.

my needs are

family car with baby seat,
seats are foldable and or removable, and I will be using this whole space often due to my work.

I will test drive these tomorrow but I know nothing about Picasso and I dnt want to end up buying a piece of crap.

IIRC correctly, LX had no aircon, CD player, front fogs(!) or armrests so i'd go with SX or better

1.6 petrol horribly slow, if it was me i'd go for the 2L HDI. The one i had did an easy 50mpg. You'll want to make sure its had a cambelt change, otherwise factor that into the price

2.0 HDI all the way - ours returns anything up to 75/80 on a run and up to 40ish around town.

The SX trim is acceptable, fabrics are hard wearing and in beige don't show dirt. The plastics are solid enough as well.

belt change is fairly pricey, clutch isn't cheap either but neither need any special tools (looking at you renault) so any mug can do them.

if the engine cover is loose/wobbly remove it completely and put it in the shed before it murders your thermostat housing

apart from that ours has been really good to us - its perfect for ferrying kids round, the flat floor is great and being able to completely remove the rear seats gives you loads of load space if you need it

thank you guys for the advice, I took it aboard and bought the 2.0 diesel, the needle hasn't moved much after 30 miles around town so far

Don't buy an automatic one. I drove one once and it was awful. Properly horribly awful.
