Disguised car in Sussex Tuesday

I was trotting along the A27 between Lewes and Polegate yesterday (Tuesday) mid morning and squeezed between two other cars heading west was a longish hatchback (I don't think it was an estate) with black nose cover and black and white spotted disguise everywhere else.

Anyone get a proper look?

The last time I saw one was in Death Valley about 10 years ago.

Ricardo in Shoreham do a lot of work for various manufacturers. I've seen similarly-disguised prototypes from there before IIRC.

Funny enough I spotted a new Mondeo prototype (badged fusion, unpainted bumpers and some camo) by Reigate station the other day, I don't think I've ever seen a development car around there before!

maybe a long shot but Tesla out for a drive from Storrington. Ricardo don't do many builds its mainly there plant up north and design down south

It was very much like the disguise pattern on the AMG in the PH front page but obviously wasn't that car.
It looked maybe BMW 1 series size or a tad bigger but with an upturned rear side window. Longer bonnet than smaller hatches.

The windows didn't looked disguised but it was such a fleeting glimpse in a longish row of traffic after the lights in Polegate and I am tempted to think the other two cars might have been deliberately shielding it slightly as all three were close together - I didn't spot what they were.

Come drive around the roads around Leamington Spa for a while. Can't move for all the JLR prototypes running around!
