Got a phonecall from the bodyshop today. I thought "Ah, that'll be my car done".

Not a chance.

The paint code on the car comes up as a blue, no amount of searching can find said code to give the proper colour. So I'm collecting the car back today and they are booking a special camera that'll give the correct paint colour.

On the plus side, the woman who bumped into it has paid in full by bank transfer.

I'll wait until they get the special equipment. My OCD will go nuts if the colour is even slightly off.

Can they not get a colour match using pantone colour chips ?
Ive seen cars colour matched and even sun fade taken into account when ensuring a perfect colour match
