What car for 15K

Hello,
I'm faced with a bit of a conundrum. Its time for me and my wife to change cars and shes asked if she can have the fun sporty car this time and I'll have the family car. Its only fair after the string of performance cars I've had so heres the challenge. Its got to be 15K max, a decent size, Automatic, good in the winter so ideally 4wd, not to low as we live at the bottom of a lane and there is a sharp rise to the main road where my current 530D Sport BMW catches if i have any passengers.It must be rerasonably quick and fun to drive and not too thirsty. So far I have duiscounted the following for various reasons: Q7, Touareg,A6 Allroad, X5 , Range Rover Vogue, Range Rover Sport and Discovery.This is the first time I've had to buy a car and not known what i want, nothing is inspiring me at all.Can anyone offer any alternatives please?
