3R with 5 speed box?

I thought all 3R's had a 6 speed box, been to look at one with a 5 speed.

Are you sure its not a GTO3, but someone has retrofitted the 3R lights?

The first 3Rs were built with 5 speed boxes, not sure how many, mine is an early one, 3R in the logbook and 5 speed....

In 2003 if you wanted a 3R you had to spec a 6 speed box or you got a 5. Same for the TDS. Mines a Dec '03 and my original bill of sale states 6 speed and also TDS. And AC. When exactly that changed I don't know.

I guess they were options at first

Sounds right to me as my gto3 04 plate had 6 speed and tds when it left the factory.
