Does anyone know this car of have any history?

It is a M12 GTO-3R with a 5 speed box in Azure Blue approx 21,000 miles registerd as CAT D

The factory knew the car up to 6578 miles on 05/01/04 then nothing

Only whats on ebay, if you google search M12 GTO-3R cat d you will see its been sold Dec 2013, according to the text on the add the parts where bought from the factory. It sold for £16600.

Although there are some R's out there with 5 speed box. The wrong wheels, "upgraded lights" and a 5 speed box do not bode well for the authenticity. When you check reg online it's listed as a GTO which is the 2.5l car. I would doubt you are buying a 3R - with the wheels and lights changed and the other embellishments in the ad I would want to be sure it was a 3L car too. If you can get us a picture of the engine bay we could tell you very quickly.

I think this was for sale by someone a little while ago I can't remember the name though but a few commented on a few things that did not adding up. The 5 speed box is not stronger - take it from a GTO3 owner who has just got his box back from being uprated. It says nothing about the diff being done which is a big expense. If this is a GTO (2.5l) then that is a different ball game ECU's Diff and cooling. The GTO3 is a good car but you need to make sure certain mods have been completed. It's not a bad thing but just have to factor that into the price. I bought my GTO3 for around the price of this listing but it was not cat D, came from a trusted source, with all the history and no embellishments of the truth - so it can be done.

My advise, maybe skip this one.
