I would be quite interested to here people's view on this and whether to just get sections of the car done, such as bonnet front wings and mirrors, or the whole vehicle?

I had my Aventador front covered by Paintshield. They were excellent and pre-cut kit meant no join lines nor cutting on the car. Only problem is they are based in Peterborough so quite a trek. PS they even give a warrantee and will fix anything if it goes wrong later, the film is self healing if you get scratches etc later.

and another

But they are expensive. I used someone recommended by my Lotus dealer. They give an 8 year guarantee

Another vote for paintshield here too. I often detail cars there prior to the film being fitted and I think they are the best at what they do. I wouldn't send my clients anywhere else.

Paintshield, by a country mile. They did my Porsche from new with full coverage and 14000 miles in its still spot on. Just had my new 458 spider done with full coverage and again it's spot on. Their after sales service is, well, excellent isn't strong enough. Exceptional, yup, that's more like it.

Worth every penny. Can't see it unless you really look, no chips, no swirls, no scratches, easier to clean. What's not to like!

thanks for all the replies guys, had paintsheild recommended by friends too....

I agreed a new car detail as part of the sale, and hr owen get this done from topaz detailing who are close by....... in the end, I opted for topaz to also do the ppf, due to convenience, timing, and my desire to get it all done before I washed or drove it.... they are the only uk xpel authorised installer and have a very experienced fitter..... https://www.facebook.com/TopazDetailing/posts/7735...

i'm getting the bumper, full bonnet, quarter wings, mirrors, sills and roof done, roof due to bird poo/tree sap! as that is what was done on my last one and was all that was needed tbh
