BBWF Fund/Charity explanation.
Discussion
Hi Peeps....I would like to touch upon this issue delicately as to avoid any misinterpreted wordings that could cause offence or derogatory behaviour.
I set up a new business account for the BBWF..In the name of the BBWF.
At present there is 722 in the account which comprises of money received by.
This years calendar sales/Donations = 260...
A couple for the saturday night meal = 40
Payments taken for Shirts, Caps and the Museum...Plus a kind donation added of 1.81..= 202
Monies retrieved from last years BBWF fund = 220.
The idea of this Fund is so that any money donated..Not made..Should be accounted for in a professional manner with receipts and bills kept in an orderly fashion and any donations that are given to charity will only be warranted via a letter of thanks from the appropriate registered charity.
The total then can be put to vote as to how much goes to charity and how much goes back to covering any costs that are incurred by the next organisers, However these cost should balance out with what is a minimal expenditure that is relevant to the organising of such an event.
Im not getting into your views on the TVRCC but the truth is they are covering my backside as regards to public liability...Therefore the event is a national event so any monies that is raised by charitable events under the guise of a club or even a brand..TVR in this case is responsible for the actions of our actions where liable is concerned, So if you smash into a customers car at the hotel while leaving a number 11 or a doughnut on the tarmac...Im not paying for it.
Now although this is NOT an enforcement i personally think that monies raised under the TVR flag should be overviewed by the Club's accountant or manager, Also any one of you can request a copy of the account at any time..After all this is YOUR money.
If an accumulation of funds build up to a reasonable amount and then for whatever reason the account has to be closed then the money that is left should be donated straight to a nominated charity and a letter of thanks provided for all to see on the forum from the said charity.
The organising of this years Wedgefest so far has personally cost me around 70, This is due to the awards and prizes that i purchased for this years fest, I do have and will produce the receipt.
As with the calendars i just need to get my money back that i have laid out on your behalf with NO added profit..All donations that i receive are then rounded up by me, Sometimes by 30..50..Or like last year 120..However i have no money as such now and no job so i cannot afford to lose money or give as much to charity from my own pocket but hopefully with your help we can make a difference to someone else's life.
Thanks for having faith in me...Ziga
