Thinking of getting a tow bar on my E38, anyone recommended someone in West London? Hoping around 300 with single electrics.

One word of warning depending on the age of the e38, scotchlocking a universal wiring kit isn't a great idea for post facelift cars, proper plug and play looms from BMW are 150 but worth it to avoid issues.....

Owner of facelift E38, witter hardware, BMW electrics - self fitted

Mine's a 1999 which is the face-lifted one. I'll bear this in mind. Thanks.

They make a great tow car - I tow pretty close to the limit (800 kgs 4 wheel trailer with 1200 kgs of track car) don't know it's there which can be a bit of a worry biggrin

I am going to be towing 1750kg combined which puts me at a 'comfortable' weight. I am hoping i can just put it on cruise at 55 and munch away the miles.

Towing 2000 kgs on dual carriageways or motorways a close to 60 mph cruise returns 27 mpg in my 740
