Boss reversed into my car :( Gutted
Discussion
Only had my car 5 months and did all I can to keep her clean but this evening my boss reversed into my car... not sure of the real damage yet but will go to get a quote tomorrow. Lucky I've parked near the CCTV too as boss seemed reluctant to get it sorted. FYI I was in the office at time of accident - the whole thing happened within company car park.

Never had an accident in donkey's so would appreciate some advice...
1) Boss told me to get a quick quote tomorrow from local Vauxhall dealership and see if this needs to be settled outside of insurance. He is on company car so wouldn't this be easier if sorted through company insurance?
2) Looking at the pictures will it involve replacing the whole bumper? The washer assembly is bent inside and doesn't work any more.
3) What is my best course of action now? Do I have to inform my insurance? Will my premiums increase? Do I have a say in how/where the car gets repaired?
We haven't officially exchanged any details but I am pretty sure the CCTV would've captured any required details if needed? i.e will it be ok for me to use the vehicle in the mean time as I need it to travel down south.
Apologies for all the questions my mind is still a mess now...

Not sure how to put this but I think boss suggested that I claim through my own insurance? Should I do this?
I personally want to get a quote from BMW but boss said not to?
I think you're about to find that your boss and his "company insurance" are not all they're cracked up to be. Get a quote from a BMW garage and tell him to pay that or get his insurance to sort it, at a BMW garage. Not sure why you'd go to Vauxhall to fix a BMW, unless he's on the take and looking to save a little cash.I personally want to get a quote from BMW but boss said not to?

No, why would you do this. He either pays for the repair himself or the company insurance policy. It's nothing to do with your insurers I thought you would have had to inform the OPs own insurance, unless the company has its own insurance 'in house' rather than a fleet insurance policy with another company (which I assumed most did unless the company in question was rather big).
Unless your boss can get finance dept to write you a check, or he does the better thing of paying up front and not messing with insurance, which is what I would push for.
Why are you taking it to a Vauxhall garage when it isn't one...
Don't get pushed around OP!
