I don't think the garage thingie has the facility to reflect finance payments. Just buy/sell price and running costs.
It's pretty cool to gauge running costs of any given car.
It's rare for any car to appreciate in value, certainly in my experience.
I find the classifieds a good way to work out potential depreciation, checking ages/mileage a of cars to roughly work out what it may be worth in the future.
As far as finance / lease etc , entirely depends on the car and the given deal on that week!
