My 1.6 xflow sandero rides on 14inch wheels. I think the tyres are 195. Its got the standard 4 speed box & 3.odd diff. I'm not too fussed about what the speedo reads as i'm changing it anyway & it will have to be recalibrated. I'd like more drivability though & was thinking of changing the diff to a 4.125.
However, an old Kitcars International article I found (June '92) mentioned a pinto engined sandero with a 3.89:1 diff & 5-speed box.
As diff's are scarce does anyone know whether I could get the balance right by just changing to a 5-speed box with suitable gear ratios?

Hi Swizz
Email me directly and I will send a little DOS prog that allows you to input all of the variables and show the effects of changing ratios. You will need to find out the exact gear ratios of each box but it's easy to google for those.
Cheers
