Hi Chaps new here and would like some help. Sounds like my GT3 is finally going to be Built (sept/oct) and have been requested to give my list of options etc. Have told the misses we can get a baby seat in the back (only way she would let me buy it!!) but after looking into it sounds like I can only fit a baby seat in the front and it needs to be the standard seats (bucket seats dont have isofix) . Is this correct?
Sad I am having to ask this question i know!!!

Comfort spec is fine for the 991.....and a good proportion of the 132 UK cars are without buckets....this thankfully is a totally different car to previous gens and hence a different market with increased 'bandwidth' than the more specialist 'restricted' usage bearded 997.....
Many including me will be using their cars as daily drivers and one chap posted intending doing a reppy 20k miles a year...such is the brilliance of this car....so it is lilkely there is and will be little difference in residuals......

The 7.2 couldn't be fitted with rear belts due the rear seat area being single skinned or something, I wonder if they've continued this on the 991 or just used a standard shell ?
I use a Porsche junior seat in my buckets (it has isofix for use in our other cars)and is held in place just fine with the seatbelt.
If the buckets are folding in the 991, I'd be surprised if somebody couldn't make a retrofit isofix bar work ?

You do realise that the 991 GT3 handbook explicitly states:
"Child restraint systems must not be used in sports bucket seats"...??
Equally, the 996 handbook states that you should never drive on the public road with the front section of the cage installed and plenty disregarded that. The statement is an indemnity, not a legal requirement - it is for the owner to decide how much weight to give it when making their decision whether to follow the instruction or not. You are right to highlight it though "Child restraint systems must not be used in sports bucket seats"...??

Maybe it's not possible to deactivate the airbag in the bucket seats which may then injure a small child if they go off.

Again, according the the handbook:"The key switch for switching off the passenger airbag, the PASS AIR BAG OFF warning light and the ISOFIX attachment bracket are not installed at the factory. They can be retrofitted, but not to vehicles with bucket seats."
